Hi! I'm Hamza, a computer engineer from Windsor, Ontario studying at the University of Waterloo. I am currently finishing my final semester of undergrad and building up my skills for full time work as a new grad software engineer.
What I've Worked On:
2023
UW Institute for Quantum Computing Internship
I worked under Dr. Crystal Senko integrating a wavelength meter into the control system for the development of a new quantum computing apparatus.
2023
Distributed Spectrum Internship
I was employee number 1 at a radio software startup and developed the short-range communication system that powered the command and control of a new suite of SDR sensors.
2022
Microchip Technology Internship
As a software engineer intern, I developed a prototype device register map application that allowed engineers to view and edit register bitmaps for all the chip they were working on in a more streamlined, robust interface.
2021
CharityCAN Internship
I was a full stack developer adding new features to a donor discovery platform by leveraging open-source data sets to surface insightful connections to our customers.
2020
Scotiabank Internship
As a technology analyst intern, I sped up database queries by restructuring their hierarchy and built a web app to manage emergency contacts.
2023
Computer Vision Projector
Projector that automatically resizes, rotates, and deskews images based on a suite of sensors and computer vision running on a RasberryPi. This is my Engineering Capstone project.
2023
UWaterloo Hip Hop Website
User management and session tracking app used to manage the UWaterloo Hip Hop Club scheduling, memberships, and boost engagement in the community. The site is launching in Winter 2024.
